Story behind Paper Portals

Hi there! I’m a dad in Central Texas. Like many of you, I’m navigating the "digital tug-of-war." I created Paper Portals to give children an alternative to screen time; the old-school magic of a physical mailbox and a story they can be part of.Privacy & Trust: We only collect the info needed to mail your missions. No data sharing, no tracking; just the adventure!Intentional Values: Each letter is curated with the same care I put into my own parenting, focusing on logic, curiosity, and kindness.While this is currently in pilot phase, its not without a big vision: to eventually bridge adventure with history, geography and character building. What age is Paper Portals designed for?
Our missions are optimized for curious kids ages 6 to 10. The puzzles and activities are designed to be challenging but achievable for this range.
When does the first letter arrive?
The Summer Adventure officially kicks off on June 1st. This is when the first physical letter arrives via traditional mail. But you can join any time and your first letter will be ready to be shipped by following Sunday!
Is this a digital download or app?
Neither. Paper Portals is 100% physical. We believe the best adventures happen off-screen, so every mission is delivered through your physical mailbox.
What materials do we need at home?
Very little! Each letter contains will contain cutouts as tools needed for the story line. You will just need a pen/pencil and occasionally common household items like scissors or tape.
Is this a recurring subscription?
Not yet! Currently, it is a one-time enrollment fee of $30+tax for the complete 6-week summer program. No hidden fees or monthly charges. But we have lots on its way!
Do you ship outside the US?
Currently, Paper Portals is only available for shipping to United States addresses.
